Shopify inventory update
A Shopify inventory export (Products → Inventory → Export, All states) where you filled in On hand (new) for the items you counted.
Processed locally in your browser. File contents are not uploaded. No account needed.
Before and after
Made-up rows from the sample file, run through the same code Rote Workspace runs, when this page was built. Removed rows are struck through; changed cells are highlighted — point at one for its old value.

4 rows × 9 columns after the fixes · was 6 × 9 · 2 cells changed
6 more columns are not shown; they pass through unchanged.
· marks a space at the start or end of a value. The dots are not in the data; they show spaces you would otherwise not see.
Why
An inventory import can report success and change nothing when the counts are in the wrong file or column; a blank On hand (new) means no change, so a file of only the changed rows is easier to check before you import it.
What it does
- Remove empty rowsOn the sample: 1 row removed
- Trim spaces in every columnOn the sample: 1 cell changed
- Keep only the rows where "On hand (new)" is not blank; the other rows are removedOn the sample: 1 row removed
- Read "On hand (new)" as numbers (decimal mark: dot, 1,234.56); values that are not numbers are left as they areOn the sample: 1 cell changed
- Sort the rows by "Handle" (A to Z), then by "Location" (A to Z); blank and unreadable values go lastOn the sample: 2 rows moved
Your file needs these columns, spelled exactly: Handle, Location, On hand (new). If one is missing or renamed, the workflow tells you which step it breaks and does not run.
