The main feature

Every fix you make in Rote Workspace becomes a step. Save the steps as a workflow and run them on next week's export: the same fixes, without doing them again by hand. Here is one workflow on three weeks of files.

    Told when the columns change

    This export writes one header in capitals. The workflow check stops before anything runs and names the step and the column. Rote never guesses which column you meant.

· marks a space at the start or end of a value. The dots are not in the data; they show spaces you would otherwise not see.

  • Removes spaces before and after each value; spaces between words stay.
  • One switch trims every column. Header names are not touched.
  • The switch shows how many cells have extra spaces before you use it.
  • Saved as a step, so next week's file is trimmed the same way.

  • Say how the dates are written: day, month or year first. Rote shows what your dates prove, and asks when they read two ways.
  • Written back as DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY, YYYY-MM-DD or DD Mon YYYY.
  • A value that is not a date in that order is kept as it is, and counted.
  • Blank cells are skipped.
